Spacers create white space. Use this white space to:

• Manually control spacing and placement. For example, the spacer in the following screen shot clearly demarcates the Toyota Corolla and Honda Accord information blocks.
  
  
  
• Allow the design to breathe. Designs with insufficient white space appear crammed, unappealing, and make scanning and comprehension more difficult.
