Enable web profiling
Web profiling collects data associated with the PolicyCenter application screens.
About this task
Procedure
-
Within PolicyCenter, navigate within the
application to just before the click operation that you want to profile.
For example, if there are one or more post-on-change operations that you want to profile on a screen, you need to profile each individual post-on-change separately. Thus, you need to navigate in the screen to just before the post-on-change operation before activating the profiler. You then repeat this process for each screen click that you want to profile.
-
Press Alt-Shift-P.
This action opens the Server Tools popup screen directly in PolicyCenter, without additional application navigation necessary.
-
Under Web Profiler, select the profiler configuration
options that you want to enable.
Guidewire recommends that you always enable stack trace tracking with web profilers, as, without this option, it is often difficult to determine specific actions of the profiled code. See Profiler trace options for more information on profiler options.
-
Click Enable Web Profiling for this Session.
This action returns you to the application screen from which you started.
- Perform the web operation that you want to profile.
- Press Alt+Shift+P to return to Guidewire Profiler.
- Click Disable Web Profiling to end the current Web profiling session.
