Disable an entry-point profiler

About this task

Although it is possible to leave many of the entry-point profilers running indefinitely, Guidewire does not recommend that you do so for more than a few hours, or days, at most. The more data that Guidewire Profiler collects, the more storage the data requires and the more load on the Profiler itself.

Procedure

  1. In Server Tools, navigate to Guidewire Profiler > Configuration.
  2. Click Edit Configuration (in the right-most column) for the entry-point profiler that you want to stop.
  3. Select Disable Profiling.

Results

After you disable an application profile entry type, the Profiler removes the row for that entry point from the Entry Point Configuration table.

What to do next

To review the collected profiler data, use the Server Tools left-hand navigation pane to access the correct Profiler Analysis screen. For example, if you profiled message destinations, navigate to Guidewire Profiler > Profiler Analysis > Message Destinations to view the data for the chosen message destination.
