The Profiler Configuration screen
You use the Server Tools screen to enable different types of trace options for the different Guidewire profilers. Some of these options are quite expensive to compute in terms of processing power. Thus, Guidewire recommends that you narrow down your performance issues first before trying these options.
The exact number and type of tracking options available for profiling depend on the following:
- The database type
- The chosen entry point
- The operating system of the application server
Setting web profiler options
The Web Profiler pane of the screen contains one or more profiler options that affect the web profiling session. To enable a profiler option, click (check) its selector square.
Setting entry-point profiler options
After you select a specific entry point to profile, PolicyCenter inserts a row for that profiler under Entry Point Configuration. For each table row, you can select one or more profiling options. Only those options with a red X in the table cell are available for that entry point. Options with a gray circle are not available for that profiler.
- Click the red X in the table cell for that option. PolicyCenter changes the icon to a green check mark indicating that the option is now active.
- Select the option from the Edit Configuration drop-down at the end of the profiler table row.
