ContactManager rule sets

This topic describes the sample rules that Guidewire provides as part of the base ContactManager application. You access these rule sets in Guidewire Studio™ for ContactManager by navigating in the Project window to configuration > config > Rule Sets.

ContactManager provides the following rule set categories in the base product:

Rule set category

Description

EventMessage

Rules that handle communication with integrated external applications. See EventMessage rule set category. For information on events and event messaging, see Messaging and events.

Preupdate

Rules triggered any time that a contact or other high-level entity changes. See Preupdate rule set category.

Validation

Rules that check for missing information or invalid data on ABContact and Region entities. See Validation rule set category.
