Plans and authority limits for multicurrency in BillingCenter

In the integration between BillingCenter and PolicyCenter, you define plans and authority limits in BillingCenter.

You can specify multiple currencies for each plan type. Plans have monetary values that reflect various applicable fees and financial thresholds. For example, billing plans contain an invoice fee. A Euro account must define the fee in euros. As another example, delinquency plans have monetary thresholds that control when BillingCenter makes a policy delinquent. Such thresholds must be defined for each currency.

The plans and authority limits that are created in BillingCenter are:

• Billing plans
• Payment plans
• Commission plans
• Delinquency plans
• Agency bill plans
• Authority limits

With the exception of agency bill plans, BillingCenter requires all of these be defined to issue a policy in a given currency.

For agency bill plans, you must define agency bill plans that include each currency in which you plan on issuing policies with agency billing. If the agency bill plans do not include a given currency, Agency Bill will not appear in PolicyCenter as a choice for billing method.
