Overview of tile input columns

A tile input column is vertical column in a dashboard that contains data widgets, typically shown as pairs of labels and values. You can place a tile input column into the following container widgets:
  • chart tile (maximum of 1 tile input column allowed)
  • detail view tile (maximum of 2 tile input columns allowed)
A tile input column is similar to an input column, but it has significant differences, including the following:
  • Many properties of an input column are not available on a tile input column.
  • A tile input column can contain only the following data widgets:
    • Bar Input
    • Currency Input
    • Date Input
    • Input Divider
    • Label
    • Monetary Amount Input
    • Privacy Input
    • Text Area Input
    • Text Input
    • Tile Input Set Ref

Create a tile input column

A tile input column adds data widgets to a detail view tile or a chart tile.

About this task

You can add at most two tile input columns to a detail view tile, and at most one tile input column to a chart tile.

Procedure

  1. In Guidewire Studio, and then in the PCF editor, edit a file containing a detail view tile or a chart tile.
  2. From the PCF Toolbox, under the Detail View Tile heading, drag the Input Column widget into the tile.
  3. From the PCF Toolbox, drag the desired data widgets into the tile input column.
