Localize display keys by using the Display Key editor
About this task
It is possible to enter a localized version of a display key directly in the Guidewire Studio editor.
Note: It is not necessary to use Studio to localize display keys. If you have a large number
of translated strings to enter, you can use the export and import commands. With these
commands, you export the strings, translate them, and import the translated strings into
Studio. See Exporting and importing string resources.
Procedure
- Open Guidewire Studio.
-
In the Project window, navigate to
the following location and double-click display.properties to open
this file in the editor:
- Place the cursor on the display key line that you want to edit.
- Click the orange dot that appears at the beginning of the selected line and click Edit Display Key.
-
Modify the text for the language that you want to modify in the appropriate place in
the Edit Display Key dialog.
The editor saves the text that you enter for a specific language in the appropriatly named display_languageCode.properties file.
