Add new audit type

About this task

To add a new audit type to a line of business, you must do the following:

Procedure

  1. Extend the audit schedule typelist to include the new audit type. This enables you to configure the new audit type and define audit schedules based upon the new audit type in Product Designer. See Extend audit schedule type typelist.
  2. Add code to handle the new audit type in all lines of business for which this audit type applies. For guidance, see:

You may also need to add or modify PCF files and entities to configure the new audit type.

For audit types, such as Final Audit and Premium Reports, that require schedules, you must do the following steps. In the base configuration, Retrospective Rating is an audit type that does not require schedules.

  3. Add audit schedule properties files for the new audit type. Product Designer loads your new audit schedule properties files when you log out, switch change lists, or restart Product Designer. See Audit schedule properties file.
  4. Define audit schedules in Product Designer for the new audit type. When you commit changes, Product Designer updates the audit schedule pattern XML file. See Audit schedule pattern.
