Rate book edition naming conventions best practices

The rate book edition groups a specific set of rate table versions. The rate book edition must be unique for that rate book. For the edition, you can use any sequence or numbering scheme that you prefer.

For example:

  • A series of numbers starting at 1 to be consistent with other Rating Management numbering schemes, such as rate routine versions.
  • Date in YYYMMDD format such as 20130101.
  • Filing identifier such as CA-2012-39A.
